EFFGEN LAPPORT SCHLEIFTECHNIK combines two German specialists in grinding tool technology: Günter Effgen GmbH, headquartered in Herrstein, and Lapport Schleiftechnik GmbH, headquartered in Enkenbach-Alsenborn. Together they cover the full spectrum of precision grinding tools, from superabrasive diamond and cubic boron nitride (cBN) grinding, polishing and dressing tools to conventional vitrified and resin bonded grinding wheels.
Effgen develops superabrasive tools for the high-performance grinding of glass, carbide, ceramics, plastics and stone with diamond, and of ferrous materials with cBN, produced in electroplated, metal, vitrified and resin bonds. Lapport manufactures conventional grinding tools from silicon carbide or aluminium oxide grains using only high-quality raw materials, with rotary grinding tools available from 50 to 1200 mm in diameter plus a wide range of sharpening and honing stones.
